Arae Webner is a Los Angeles-based production designer.
An avid hiker and gardener, she's lost a few plants (RIP) to learn that even the biggest ambitions grow step by step, day by day.
Years of repeat clients and collaborators speak to her ability to elevate ideas beyond execution. She loves building worlds from the ground up, deep-diving into every detail. Arae thrives when fully immersed in a project, pulling layers of references and thoughtfully building a design bible for each project. Her positive problem-solving and teamwork-driven leadership has given her the opportunity to make the impossible, well- possible!
She produces her own renders and various forms of previs, often working in live sessions with directors and DPs to light, lay out spaces and plan complex shots. She loves being an active collaborator throughout the entire process- finding ways to mix light and design, exploring the boundaries of what's possible in camera. She loves the limitless tech in our lives and where it comes to meet something tangible.
Her set-design work has spilled across industries- crafting experiences for live events with brands like Honda, designing world tours for multi-platinum artists, and sustainably redesigning interiors for local LA businesses.
Arae has worked across Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, Cleveland, Portland, Reykjavik, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Bogotá. Her approach remains the same but shape-shifts to meet the needs of each project, adaptable from the deserts of Colombia to the glaciers of Iceland.
When she’s not designing, she’s probably outside—hiking with her dog, gardening, throwing dinner parties, or planning her next trip. Her life feeds her passion for design. She's excited and grateful to do what she loves, with people she admires.
She believes great design should feel lived-in, a little magical, and deeply intentional—just like the best kind of story.
